Ms Bonolo Mophosho
I am an HPCSA registered counselling psychologist qualified through the University of the Witwatersrand’s (Wits) Masters in Community-based Counselling psychology. I work with individuals; adolescents, and adults, to assist with various life challenges. My work has included therapy in one-on-one as well as group settings in high school, university as well as corporate settings. I have a preferred interest in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), however, I integrate elements from numerous approaches including, but not limited to Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Client Centred Therapy, and Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) I completed my internship at Wits’ Counselling and Careers Development Unit (CCDU) working with students and members of the public, offering counselling and career services (career counselling and career assessments), and facilitating workshops on a variety of issues. I have also worked in a high school setting, assisting adolescents through various challenges through individual therapy, conducting psycho-educational assessments as well as facilitating workshops. In the corporate environment I performed individual psychotherapy and group trauma debriefing. Most recently I worked in higher education assisting students through life challenges, academic stress, and emotional wellbeing before transitioning to full time private practice. I work with presenting problems including but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, stress, adjustment, marital problems, family and other relational problems, and academic challenges.
