Agenda:

  • The BWRT® with Children course is a 3 hour online workshop via Zoom presented live.
  • A video  recording will be available for 3 weeks after the course. 

9:30-9:45: Welcome, house keeping and brief introductions

9:45-9:55: Topic1
Theory & Ethical considerations

 9:55-10:25: Topic 2
Setting the scene

10:35-11:25: Topic3
Protocols and techniques

11:35-12:30: Topic 4
Case studies and closure

 

Practitioners can expect the following outcomes:

  1. Enhanced Ethical Awareness: Practitioners will gain a deep understanding of confidentiality, informed consent, and ethical considerations when working with children and their families.
  2. Improved Practical Skills: Participants will learn and practice BWRT protocols through case studies, equipping them with effective techniques for real-world application.
  3. Better Referral Practices: Practitioners will understand the importance of recognizing treatment limitations and will be better prepared to make appropriate referrals to other professionals.
  4. Increased Competence in Child Treatment: Attendees will develop the skills necessary to navigate complex situations involving children’s rights, parental dynamics, and obtaining assent, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care.

All practitioners: Must have completed BWRT® Level 1
International practitioners: Must have an active membership with the BWRT® Terence Watts Institute.
